HR Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced HR advisor to work in their offices based in Stoke-on-Trent, on occasions you will travel to their head office. They can offer 4days working in the office and 1 day working at home once training is completed.

This role is Monday to Friday, ideally working 8.30am until 5.30pm with a starting salary of £28,000 willing to go up to £30,000 depending on experience.

This role will provide support to the HR business partner and the wider business, you will provide a professional and efficient service. You will follow the companies’ policies and procedures.


Main duties: This is an overview of the role.

Conduct first HR support on employee relation cases including disciplinaries, grievances, escalate complex matters to the HR business partners.

  • Manage attendance records for short- and long-term cases in line with the company policies and procedures, provide support to managers and support individuals.
  • Oversee complex cases including redundancies and change management.
  • Track probationary periods, flexible working requests, exit interviews and other people processes in line with company policies.
  • Advise best practice and mitigate risks
  • Supporting the wider team in HR with any adhoc activities and projects
  • Complete your own work load
  • Making sure there is always clear communication between the HR administrators and HR business partners.
  • Support the HR administrators with more complex letters and queries.
  • Continually thinking of creating improvement of processes and procedures.

What were looking for:

  • Knowledge of current legislation
  • Self-motivator to be able to work independently.
  • Previous experience of supporting managers on the day to day people matters
  • Manage on work load
  • Able to solve issues in a timely manager
  • Ideally be CIPD qualified or a desire/working towards accreditation
