We are looking for a technically minded Production Operative to join our clients busy manufacturing environment.
This is not just a manual production role. You will need to be comfortable working with computers, following technical processes, working with numbers and using a methodical approach to identify faults and ensure products meet the required quality standards.

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the production process and ensuring finished products meet the required specifications.
Your duties will include:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Using computer systems and software as part of the production process
- Following detailed work instructions and production specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on products coming from machines
- Inspecting finished products for defects, inconsistencies or abnormalities
- Measuring and recording production data accurately
- Working with numbers and checking measurements, quantities and tolerances
- Identifying issues with products or machinery and reporting them appropriately
- Making adjustments to processes where trained and authorised to do so
- Completing production records and documentation
- Ensuring products meet quality and customer requirements
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with other members of the production and technical teams

- Technically minded and confident using computers
- Methodical and logical in their approach to work
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements and data
- Highly detail-oriented
- Able to spot small differences or defects in products
- Confident following technical instructions and processes
- Able to identify when something doesn’t look or feel right
- Comfortable learning how machinery and production systems operate
- Reliable, focused and able to work to deadlines
- Quality conscious with a strong eye for detail
- A good communicator who can report issues clearly
Attention to Detail Is Key
You’ll need to be comfortable working with numbers and detailed information, checking that products are being manufactured correctly and identifying any discrepancies.
A methodical approach and the ability to spot problems before they become bigger issues will be essential.
Computer work forms an important part of the role, so you should be comfortable using computer systems and learning new software.
