An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an established engineering business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of industrial ovens, driers and furnaces for customers across a wide range of industries worldwide.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in electrical design and industrial control systems, with a strong understanding of:
- Electrical control circuit design for industrial processes
- Industrial control panel layouts
- Automatic control logic for industrial machinery and moving parts
- Industrial safety circuits
- Temperature control of thermal processes
- PLC programming
- CAD design and electrical drawing packages
- Current electrical wiring standards and specifications
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing electrical control circuits for industrial processes
- Producing detailed electrical drawings using CAD
- Designing and specifying industrial control panels
- Developing and programming PLC control systems
- Selecting and ordering electrical components and equipment
- Supporting the commissioning of equipment and systems on site
- Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet project requirements
